dentalimplant.now does not list prices. The sections below list the parts of treatment that change the total.
The main factors
The AAID states that the total depends on how many teeth need replacing and where they are, the number and type of implants, and whether added procedures are needed to prepare the mouth.1 The ACP states that cost varies by patient needs, bone quantity and region.2
Parts of a treatment plan
Each item below is a separate step that may or may not be part of a given case.
| Item | What the sources say |
|---|---|
| Number of teeth and implants | A main factor in the total1 |
| Extractions and preparation | Added procedures to prepare the mouth raise the total1 |
| Bone grafting or sinus lift | Sinus floor elevation is associated with higher cost and longer treatment than short implants3 |
| 3D imaging | CBCT is recommended for all implant sites4 |
| Sedation or general anesthesia | In Florida, requires a permit tied to specific training5 |
| Temporary teeth | Temporary replacements may be provided while final teeth are made6 |
| Robotic or guided surgery | Robotic systems carry higher cost, per a 2026 review7 |
| Upkeep over time | Full-arch bridges need repairs over the years, adding time and cost8 |
Single tooth: implant or bridge
The ACP states that replacing a single tooth with an implant costs almost the same as replacing it with a regular fixed bridge.2 The AAID states that bridges and dentures may need replacement as often as every 5 to 15 years.1
Full arch: fixed or removable
The York consensus describes the two-implant lower overdenture as the minimum standard for most people, considering performance, satisfaction, cost and clinical time.9 A fixed full-arch bridge uses more implants and has its own maintenance schedule.8
Paying for treatment
The AAID states that many implant dentists offer financing and payment options.1 See the insurance topic for Medicare and dental plan coverage.
